This is what we mean by 'Team on Purpose'

The best teams don't leave teamwork to chance.

VMax Group understands what it takes to build teams that win. And we're going to help yours do so by focusing on five core essentials: Determining your Purpose, Clarifying Expectations, Setting and Documenting Standards, Building and Maintaining Psychological Safety, and executing a repeatable, dependable Team Lifecycle designed to help your teammates deliver results. Consistently.
The VMax Group Teamwork OS is an operating methodology that you can hire to, train to, coach to, and rely on, only always. It gives teams a shared vocabulary and a series of battle-tested frameworks they'll come to depend on to get work done the right way the first time. It's built on the premise that in order to win today, teams need to become learning entities, that learn their way through disruption together.

A SIMPLE PATH FORWARD

What are the five core components your teams will learn?

1
The importance of purpose
They're going to understand why their work matters. When people understand the meaning and impact of the mission, they bring more energy, better judgment, and stronger ownership.
2
They're going to seek clear expectations they can deliver on
Good people cannot execute a plan they cannot see. Teams need measurable objectives, clear ownership, visible risks, and a shared definition of success.
3
They're going to understand the standards they'll be measured against
Standards are not red tape. They show people what good looks like, make coaching easier, and remove the guesswork that creates friction.
4
They'll become comfortable feeling uncomfortable
Psychological safety does not mean lower standards. It means people can surface the truth, admit a miss, challenge an idea, and ask for help before the problem gets bigger.
5
And they'll learn after every 'mission'
A real debrief does not ask, “Who messed up?” It asks, “What happened? Why did it happen? What will we do differently next time?”

to Know...Upfront

What is a Teamwork Operating System?

A teamwork operating system is a shared, repeatable way for a team to plan, communicate, execute, and learn. VMax Group has built this high-performance operating system around five essentials: purpose, clear expectations, standards, psychological safety, and a mission cycle.

What do you mean by Debrief to Win?

Debrief to Win is an approach that leverages the upside of positive, forward-focused accountability to help a team learn through their experiences, both good and bad. It's the opposite of the fear-based approach to accountability used in most organizations, and it's the one our founder, Robert "Cujo" Teschner, was the Subject Matter Expert on during his time teaching at the USAF Weapons Instructor Course. In fact, his guidance on how to debrief is still in use throughout the US Air Force today, and he outlined that guidance in his book, Debrief to Win.

What does it mean to plan correctly?

It means harnessing a proven framework to ensure that small-picture, tactical-level planning is done to the degree necessary to ensure the team is given the best chance to win. Fighter pilots learn how to do this, and VMax Group teaches what fighter pilots use to teams that want to drastically improve how effectively they plan.

What do you mean by communicate clearly?

We mean exactly that: Your team will learn to communicate for effect, ensuring stakeholders understand what was communicated so they can take appropriate action. Fighter pilots rely on crystal-clear communication in order to succeed in a dangerous, contested, turbulent, and disruptive battlespace. And the techniques they use to communicate correctly are what VMax Group teaches.
